Art Crawl 2015 - A beautiful conversation

As always, Art Crawl brought so many interesting people through my studio this weekend, and I was able to have some good conversations with many of them.  One of the conversations I had was about the way that I create conversation with my art.  I have something to talk about, so I create a painting or print or sculpture, and put it out into the world.  People will see this work and respond, but usually not to me.  I imagine myself and the viewer standing on different planets hundreds of light years away.  The first person says something, then dies.  The second receives the message and writes a response then sends it and dies.  The first persons decedents receive the response and so on.  The part we play as individuals in the conversation is a small one, but the culture as a whole will remember and expand upon it, and therefore it is meaningful.
